Must be available two days out of the week starting week 4 of class for clinical. Clinical hours are completed at the Department of Corrections on Western Blvd. in Raleigh. Clinical hour options are 7:30am-2pm Monday’s, 10:30am-4pm Tuesday-Thursday

Phlebotomy technicians are responsible for collecting and handling blood specimens and preparing lab equipment. Should there be instances of under performance, diagnostics and lab procedures that require blood specimens may result in poor operational procedures as well. That is why, to better equip our aspiring phlebotomy technicians, we offer Phlebotomy Technician Hybrid/Online course.
In this course, the student will learn the following:
- Vein recognition
- Basic venipuncture techniques
- Correct order of draw
- Tube recognition
- Basic A&P
- Common medical terminologies used in the field
- Other important aspects of the phlebotomy profession

Required registration documents and fee are due when you register.
High school, college or GED transcripts with course and grades on them. Certificates of completion without course grades on them are not acceptable.
